Logistics Coordinator

Location: Massillon, Ohio (On-site, Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Mast Trucking is hiring a Logistics Coordinator to help us move refrigerated freight efficiently and profitably. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure role where your ability to think fast, negotiate honestly, and solve problems will determine your success.

What You’ll Do:

  • Find and book quality freight that aligns with company goals

  • Negotiate rates and contracts like a sharp shooter, securing the best possible deals

  • Work closely with load planners and driver managers to support smooth operations

  • Utilize Optimal Dynamics software and other industry tools to make data-driven decisions

  • Keep up with fast-changing freight markets and adjust strategies accordingly

  • Solve problems quickly when things don’t go as planned—because in trucking, they won’t

  • Know the freight market inside and out and can negotiate with confidence

  • Use Optimal Dynamics software like a pro and make smart, strategic decisions

  • Are trusted by the load planning team and take initiative to solve problems

  • Book profitable loads consistently, even in tough market conditions

  • Handle pressure without breaking down—holidays and busy weeks don’t scare you

  • Seek feedback constantly and are already taking on bigger responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field)

  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation preferred, but motivated entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to handle high-pressure, fast-changing environments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn logistics software
