Customer Account Manager

Location: Massillon, Ohio (On-site, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

Mast Trucking is hiring a Customer Account Manager to serve and grow our customer base. This role is about being the go-to partner for our customers—solving problems fast, communicating honestly, and finding ways to add value that keep them coming back. It’s also about spotting opportunities to grow and make Mast the #1 carrier our customers count on.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers

  • Serve as the main point of contact, ensuring communication is clear, direct, and proactive

  • Solve problems quickly and fairly when challenges arise (because in trucking, they always do)

  • Partner closely with load planners and driver managers to keep freight moving smoothly

  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling, expanding services, and adding value

  • Make strategic decisions that balance customer needs with company profitability

  • Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and improve the customer experience

  • Manage yourself independently, taking ownership of results without needing hand-holding

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, or related field)

  • 1–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or account management preferred

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills

  • Proven ability to make sound, strategic business decisions

  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-changing environment
